Papaya Candy Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 green papayas
- 1 cinammon stick
- Water as needed
- Sugar as needed
Procedure:
Peel and slice the papaya into thin slices. Boil the papaya slices in enough water to cover them, over medium heat, for around ten minutes. Remove from the heat, drain and set aside. Measure the papaya in cups. bring to boil 1/2 cup sugar and 1/2 cup water over medium heat. When the sugar has dissolved in the water, add 1 cup of papaya slices and 1 cinammon stick. Simmer over low heat, stirring frequently until the papaya slices are almost transparent. Allow to cool or refrigerate overnight.Serve with Queso Blanco.
