Black Beans, Habichuelas Negras Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 cans 15oz goya black beans, undrained
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp goya sofrito
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1 tsp cumin
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 packets sazón goya without annatto
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp goya adobo with pepper
- 1 cup water
Procedure:
In saucepan on medium add olive oil, sofrito, oregano, cumin, sazon, sugar, adobo and saute. Add the black beans, bay leaves, water and bring to boil, lower heat and simmer uncovered until desired consistency, about 10 minutes. Discard bay leaf.
