Stewed Meat, Carne Guisada Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 1/4 cup goya sofrito
- 1 packet sazon con culantro y achiote
- 1 tbsp goya adobo with pepper
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- Salt to taste
- 2 lb beef stew meat
- 2 cups peeled, cubed potatoes
- Water
Procedure:
In a large pot, combine olive oil, tomato sauce, sofrito, sazon, adobo, oregano, and salt. Simmer over medium low heat for 5 minutes. Add meat, and cook until evenly browned. Stir in just enough water to cover meat. Cover, and simmer for about 1 hour. Add potatoes, and cook for about 30 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
